Again, I'd commend the book by Ian Hewitson on this, or any of the works by Norman Shepherd, or even just a basic work by Presbyterians on children on the covenant.

http://www.amazon.com/The-Presbyterian-Doctrine-Children-Covenant/dp/0875525237/ref=Christopher Mark Van Allsburghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16955371990568269785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3372099135272460009.post-73826769418515652432014-06-19T15:04:46.973-04:002014-06-19T15:04:46.973-04:00Hey Kurt,

Let's talk soon.

Ok, so I agree with you that on the grounds of deeming infants, etc. (Let's call this class of people, "non-cognitive potential agents" - that way we could make up a neologism. Cool!). Exclusivism makes a universal statement and if there is some particular that proves to be the exception, the universal fails. I said "leaving that aside" for the moment.

Infants don't need to "hear" the gospel, because they are unable to do so. They have no cognitive faculties available for such a task. Neither do most mentally disabled people.

My Christopher Mark Van Allsburghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16955371990568269785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3372099135272460009.post-12319570640348604842014-06-08T23:28:34.473-04:002014-06-08T23:28:34.473-04:00Hi Chris,
