Two other eyes, so fruit divine
grasp this thirsty hearth and kindle the fire,
for knowing and known created sublime
melodious myrhh the purer the pyre

Amiable fable is this thine mine hue?
Luxurious orament sensual ray
"Her crystal mirror hold, unite her streams,"
Relief, no--comfort this affection's aray

Monica, whose name bears Hippo's bright sun
Even water the late song with prayer
While lunar hovering's mist does shade
Ever to shape my soul with thy sayer
